The Portico of Ards (“Portico”) is a distinguished Arts and Heritage Centre located in Portaferry, County Down, at the mouth of Strangford Lough, within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just 45 minutes south of Belfast. Built in 1841, the Portico is renowned for its unique Grade A listed Greek-style architecture and underwent a meticulous restoration, reopening in 2016 as a vibrant venue for live music and entertainment. The centre hosts a wide variety of performances, including classical, comedy, country, folk, jazz, organ, pop, rock, and theatre, while also offering versatile spaces for venue hire, meetings, weddings, and conferences.
